If you have any other blogging tips that can help others, please share them. Thanks, Ankit
To infuse personality into your own writing, try looking for ways to relate to your readers on the topic you're writing about -- then write in the first person as if you're hanging out with them and chatting about it. Make your tone personal, approachable, and engaging, just like you would in a face-to-face conversation.

As I said, for any new blog your content is what will drive people to your blog. Consistency is very important for first few months (And also later), to keep your blog growing. You need to work on creating regular content and blog promotion. Another working tip is to write effective titles, which will make readers to read more.

Aside from that, make sure everything you do is distinctive. It doesn’t have to be original but it does have to stand out from the rest. This should flow through the look and feel of your site, logo and how you write your articles. Make sure your entire brand is consistent and well planned.

Starting a blog can seem overwhelming, but in truth, it's one of the simplest ways to join the online community. Follow these tips to ensure your blog is positioned for success.
vijay jangra The biggest and confusing problem i am facing is, with email subscription. Hi Brenda, I’m not sure whether you can schedule pins in advance of publishing them. It seems like you should be able to, as long as you know the URL for the post to be published, but I just don’t have experience with this yet. I’m more of a hands-on pinner, myself.
Great article, yes I do agree that WordPress.org (self-hosted) is the best methods to start a blog and website these days. It has darn near become industry standard. Heck, you have major corporations transferring their sites over to WordPress. The reputation, flexibility, capability, tools and ease-of-use that it offers makes it a winner!
Hi Gene, By default – it has “index.html” placed in your root domain folder. If you overwrite it – it’ll disappear and be replaced with the WordPress index file. So basically, you just need to overwrite it. Jess
The pro tip here is NOT to spend all of your time on all the social media sites at once. Don’t grow your presence across Twitter, Google+, Instagram or Facebook all at once. You can never focus 100% of your energy or time if you do so.
16. Learn To Write For Readers, Not Google One of the biggest reasons most bloggers don’t make enough money or sales even if they get massive traffic to their sites is because they lack of loyal audience. If you write and optimize your blog’s content for Google crawlers, you will surely get more search engine traffic. But you will often fail to capture loyal readers by writing keyword rich contents. So make sure to entice your blog audience with your writing style. Let them crave for your new posts. Let them leave lots of comments on your content every time you publish something new. Let them share it all over the social media sites just because of your writing style or content. The more value you add to your readers with your content, the better results you will get in terms of more sales and revenue. I’m not saying you shouldn’t be optimizing your content for Google at all but make sure to give more priority to your audience first.➜ Read these 2 guides:10 Recommendations To Produce High-Quality Content For Your BlogHow To Make Your Blog Post Go Viral? #BloggingTips - Learn To Write For Readers, Not Google Click to Tweet
It’s also important that businesses understand readability, based on scoring grades like Flesch Kincaid. Most sites should write to high-school level, unless they’re very technical and so is the audience. Words or phrases that make the reader stop, interrupting the flow, will lose that visitor and gain little to no engagement.
Everyone needs to edit their writing -- even the most experienced writers. Most times, our first drafts aren't all that great. So take the time you need to shape up your post. Fix typos, run-on sentences, and accidental its/it's mistakes. Make sure your story flows just as well as it did in your outline.

After several years of following all the “rules,” I finally tossed them out the window in favor of making my own way. The rules served me well at first as I tried to learn this Internet and blogging thing, but eventually they stopped being helpful and started being a hindrance to my writing. (Because when you spend all your time trying to play by the rules, there is little time left for the art.) I still feel a bit uncomfortable in this new space I’m allowing, but your words encourage me to keep going my way, following my art and my dreams and my voice — not someone else’s. Thank you, thank you.

Quality and consistency are an important part of guest blogging. You need to ensure that the content brings value to the audiences of the blog you’re writing for, matches the blog’s current style and is also relevant to your online audience. In terms of online marketers, Kristi Hines, Ann Smarty and Ekaterina Walter are some of the top guest bloggers to watch today.
The type of content you publish (text, image, video, audio) doesn’t really matter, as long as your audience loves it. However, studies have shown that image-based content tends to get more shares across social media, so images and video can be important components of your content strategy.
I plan to launch my own products such as Ebook and blogging training course, but now working on building authority and online reputation. My email list is growing now and even it isn’t a big, but always grow.
